Banksy opens bizarre ‘pet shop’ with robotic animals

This looks amazing. The animation of the robots very well done and the exhibit is well thourght out. I wish there were more art exhibition like this!

British graffiti artist Banksy has opened his first official exhibition in New York.

Set inside a fake pet store, works such as a robotic monkey and fish-fingers swimming in a goldfish bowl aim to question the relationship between human beings and animals.

Water Colour 2.0

Water Colour 2.0 from Luke Brooks on Vimeo.

I was invited to submit my video “Water Colour” into a German video artists festival, but unfortunately could not get permission to use the music that I had chosen for the original piece. I then decided it would be a good opportunity to create some relaxing music to accompany the video piece. Here is my new and improved Water Colour video with music and visuals by me, Luke Brooks. (music contains samples from ccmixter, Antony Raijekov – Night Watch)

Light Art Performance Photography

Astonishing LED, Laser, and Light Photography from Hack N Mod on Vimeo.

If you’ve ever attemped long exposure photography or “light writing” in any way shape or form, then you’ll understand how truly dedicated these people are to the art form. Check out the video and there website for more stunning photos.

We’ve seen some projects featuring how to draw with light using your camera’s exposure settings, but nothing compares to this.  This group goes by the name of Light Art Performance Photography and they use lasers, LEDs, illuminated body suits, sparklers and just about anything else which emits light to construct these incredible works of art.  We’ve compiled the video above to feature their work and the high-res version is worth watching as well.

Fan Film – The Hunt for Gollum

Today I managed to stumble accross a fan film for Lord Of The Rings called “The Hunt For Gollum” and I have to say I’m not a big Lord of The Rings fan but this is a brilliant film. They only had a limited budget and none of the cast and crew were paid a cent. That means that this film exists purely because of peoples hard work and dedication with out any reward but the film it self. So because of that fact alone I would recommend you watch it now!

It is an internet only release as of may 3rd and will remain free to view for anyone interested. You can view the film here.

The Hunt For Gollum is an unofficial not for profit short film by a group of enthusiast filmmakers. As a Lord of the Rings Fan Film, we are not affiliated with the Tolkien Estate or New Line Cinema and are producing this project as an entirely non commercial film. As with other fan films we are making this purely for the enjoyment of the material and the experience of making a high quality low budget film. – http://thehuntforgollum.com
