New Canon EOS Digital Rebal T1i (500D) Coming Soon!
The new Canon EOS Digital Rebal T1i (as its known in America, or in Australia the 500D) will be coming soon, it should included 15.1 megapixels, 3 inch screen and 1080p HD video recording as well as a HDMI out to get all the glory on a HD TV. But the worst part is I just invested in an Canon EOS 450D about a month ago which is going strong and is a lovely camera but to be able to have all the glory of HD video and a HDMI output makes me rather jealous. I hope it’s not too soon for an upgrade.

the Canon 500D would be a direct competitor with the Nikon D90. Currently, i own an EOS450D and i want to upgrade to 500D so that i can take HD videos.
Although it would be competing with the D90 the 500D does 1080p (1920 x 1080) video recording. The D90 is only capable of recording 720p HD (1280 x 720). If the video mode on the 500D is anything like canon EOS 5D MK2 it will make the best value DSLR / HD video camera around.
